50th Anniversary Calendar - This year the Nahant Historical Society calendar honors the 50th anniversary since the founding of the Society. In 1975, the Nahant Bicentennial Committee was formed to brainstorm and plan for our local events to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the United States. One of the ideas was to start a historical society. This idea was eagerly adopted by an enthusiastic group of people who saw the importance of preserving the rich history of our town.
